
I am Pravesh Pardeshi. I want to show you my city. It is PRATAPGARH. My state is Rajasthan. Rajasthan is the best ever in INDIA. My pratapgarh is a new district in Rajasthan since 26 january 2008. People comes here and they like it. It is a trible area. Mostly peoples are aborginal.
Mostly Famous-
There is one name that is the most famous in Pratapgarh. It is "PARDESHI". He was the greatest writer in Pratapgarh. He did well and hard work. His statue is situated in "Pardeshi Park". This is the famous park. It's name is related with the Pardeshi. His real name is Mannalal Pardeshi. People likes him, The respect him, They honour him. His career was so good. The name of the writer "PARDESHI" will be always famous in INDIA.
Geography
Pratapgarh District( The Green District) is newly constituted district in Rajasthan State. it came into existence on jan 26, 2008 as 33rd district of Rajasthan (added by Vijay). Pratapgarh is located at 24.03° N 74.78° E[1]. It has an average elevation of 491 metres (1610 feet). It is second highest place in Rajasthan
Culture
The city is a blend of old and new cultures. In nearby villages, the tribal culture still thrives. Every Sunday when the tribes come to the city to buy merchandise in the weekly haat market, the city also looks tribal. After the declaration as a district. There are new development plans has been executed in the city by state govt.. There are certain spices namely "JIRAWAN", "HING" are famous. These are also imported to foreign countries. You will find some seasonal sweets too like in summer, you will find "AAMPAAK"(sweet of mango) . In winter you will find "Lilwe Ka jajriya". Else you will find "AAM Ke PAPAD"(Mango poppadom). People here are fond of spicy food. There are many shop you will find "hing ki kachori ". Enjoy food here whenever you get a chance to be in this part of world.
Topography
The internal part of the city has many narrow streets and some of them are so narrow that it is hard for two bikes to cross each other. But since the last decade, the outer part of the city Nai Aabadi, Ashok Nagar, Nichla Bazar are developing fast.
Demography
As of the 2001 Indian census, Pratapgarh had a population of 35,414. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Pratapgarh has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 67%. In Pratapgarh, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Services and infrastructure
There are four cinema halls. They are Archana, Pratap and Samata, Darpan . The Pratap theatre was the first cinema hall in the whole Udaipur zone when it was built in 1945. Nowadays it is running only adult movies.
Communication services were earlier relying on BSNL, but today other private operators like Airtel, Reliance and Vodafone, Idea, Tata Indicom, MTS, are also providing telecom services. Due to its strategic location airport authority of India has installed here a VOR station for guideing aircraft their path. It is said that Pratapgarh is midway between Delhi-Mumbai route. Though the city is connected to all important towns by road, railway line is still a dream. Due to the height at which it is located, it will be very costly to build a railway line to here.
